God, as I lie down without dinner, let my dreams bring messages from you.
Lord, protect my sleep tonight. Do not let hunger wake me. Let peace reign.
Father, thank you for the food I will eat tomorrow. I already appreciate it more.
Jesus, I did not eat today but I feasted on your presence. That filled me more.
God, I lay down my fasting like an evening sacrifice. Receive it as worship.
Lord, give me rest that repairs my body. Let fasting not weaken me but strengthen me.
Father, tomorrow I continue this fast. Give me fresh manna for fresh hunger.

Prayers for Breaking Unhealthy Patterns

Lord, I eat when I am stressed. Break that pattern. Teach me to pray instead.
Father, food has become my idol. I bow to refrigerators and menus. Set me free.
Jesus, you multiplied food. Teach me to enjoy it without worshipping it.
God, I have used food to numb pain. Heal the pain so I do not need the numbing.
Lord, show me if gluttony has taken root. I am ready to see the truth.
Father, let my fasting train my appetite for when the fast ends. More self control.
Jesus, every time I choose hunger for you, I weaken the power of cravings over me.
God, reset my taste buds. Make me crave vegetables more than sugar. Help my health.
Lord, thank you that one day fasting will end. We will feast at your table forever. Until then, teach me to hunger for the right things.
