End of the Year Prayer Points with Scriptures

299 End of the Year Prayer Points with Scriptures for a Powerful New Season

December arrives with a strange mix of emotions. You look back at the last eleven months and see victories and failures, joy and sorrow, answered prayers and silence. Some of your hopes came true. Others crashed hard. People you love entered your life. People you love left it. The year took something from you. It also gave something you did not expect.

An end of the year prayer is not about pretending the hard parts did not happen. It is about bringing the whole year, every messy piece of it, to God before you turn the calendar page. You thank Him for what went well. You ask forgiveness for what you did wrong. You release what you cannot change. And you prepare your heart for what comes next.

The number 299 carries meaning here. Two represents partnership and witness. Nine appears twice, standing for completion, fruitfulness, and divine fullness. Together, 299 speaks to a complete year brought before God with witness and gratitude. You are not just closing a year. You are consecrating it.

Scripture anchors these prayers. Each prayer point comes with a Bible verse that grounds your request in God’s promises. The Word of God gives you confidence that you are not just throwing words into the air. You are praying according to what He has already said He will do.

This guide gives you 299 end of the year prayer points with scriptures. You will pray through gratitude, repentance, healing, deliverance, provision, protection, family, work, relationships, and the new year ahead. Use these in one long prayer session on New Year’s Eve. Or spread them across the final days of December. However you use them, pray with expectation. The year is ending. Something new is about to begin.

How to Use These Prayer Points

Pick a quiet time. Late evening works well. The distractions of the day have settled. Light a candle if that helps you focus. Open your Bible or keep it nearby. You will need the scriptures.

Read each prayer point slowly. Then read the scripture out loud. The scripture is not an add on. It is the foundation. Your prayer has power because God’s Word has power. When you pray a scripture, you are praying God’s own promises back to Him.

Do not rush. These 299 points can take an hour or more. That is fine. The end of the year deserves that kind of attention. If you cannot do them all at once, break them into sections. Do fifty points a day for six days. Do twenty points each evening in December. Find your rhythm.

Keep a journal nearby. Write down what you hear during prayer. Write down scriptures that stand out. Write down anything God brings to your mind about the past year or the year ahead. Journaling turns prayer from a monologue into a conversation.

Pray with your whole heart, not just your mouth. Feel the words. Mean the gratitude. Own the repentance. Believe the promises. This is not a performance. This is your soul meeting God at the threshold of a new year.

How to Turn These Prayer Points Into a Prayer Meeting

Gather friends or family for a New Year’s Eve prayer watch. Start at 10 PM. End at midnight. Assign different sections to different people. Sing worship songs between sections. Light candles. Share testimonies of what God did this year.

If you are praying alone, spread these points across the last week of December. Do fifty points each evening. Let the prayers soak in. Do not rush. The goal is not finishing the list. The goal is meeting God.

Write down the prayers that feel most urgent. The ones where you paused. The ones where you cried. Those are the prayers God is highlighting. Pay attention to them. They are your assignment for the new year.

Final Word Before the New Year

The year is ending. You cannot go back and fix what broke. You cannot redo the mistakes. You cannot unhear the hurtful words or unfeel the painful losses. But you also cannot take back the victories. The growth. The moments of grace that surprised you.

You stand at the door between two years. On one side, a year you know. On the other, a year you do not. Bring the known year to God. Every part of it. Then take His hand and step into the unknown one. He is already there. He has been waiting for you.

Pray these points. Mean them. Then sleep. Wake up to a new year. A new chance. Fresh mercy waiting for you the moment you open your eyes.

Happy new year. God is going before you.
