Prayers for Harvest with Bible Verses

299 Prayers for Harvest with Bible Verses for Spiritual and Physical Fruit

The fields are golden. The grain bends heavy on the stalk. Fruit hangs ripe from the branches. Harvest time is the reward for months of planting, watering, weeding, and waiting. Farmers know what few others understand. You cannot rush a harvest. The ground takes its time. But when the harvest comes, it is pure gift.

Scripture uses harvest as a picture of God’s provision and a picture of souls ready for salvation. Jesus told His disciples the fields are white for harvest. He meant people ready to respond to the gospel. Praying for harvest covers both meanings. You pray for the literal food that comes from the ground. You also pray for spiritual fruit that comes from labor in God’s kingdom.

These 299 prayers combine harvest seasons with Bible verses. Each prayer draws on Scripture that mentions harvest, crops, fruit, or reaping. The verses ground your prayers in God’s promises. He promises seedtime and harvest as long as the earth remains. He promises that those who sow in tears will reap with joy. He promises that the harvest is plentiful even when workers are few.

You can pray these prayers during actual harvest time on a farm or in a garden. You can also pray them when you are waiting for any kind of harvest. A financial harvest after hard work. A relational harvest after investing in someone. A spiritual harvest after years of faithful witness. The same God who sends rain and sun for crops also sends increase for every good work.

Pray these prayers with a farmer’s faith. You do not see the seed growing underground. But you trust that it is growing. You do not see the fruit of your prayers immediately. But you trust that it is coming.

Let us give thanks for the harvest.
